Send email to users: anyone created a better solution?
Alright guys,
I send out a newsletter every fortnight to over 16,000 users on my forums. The problem with this is it creates too much loads on the server, causing the forums to lock-up. I know I could lessen the load by choosing to email to less than 500 people each time, however this would take too long for me to do. Does anyone know of a hack that will automatically send an email out to 100 users a time and monitor the server's load, only sending out another batch when the loads drops below a certain point? Cheers! |
On your email manager, adjust the 'Email to send at once:' value to something lower than it currently is.

Thanks but then I have to sit there and send out the emails manually.
I would like to know if there is an automated script that will only send out a batch of emails once the server load is below a specified level. So I click once and leave it to send out emails in batches. |
