WYSIWYG for UNREGISTERED/GUESTS on new post/reply

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has modified vBulletin in a way that it would allow unregistered users and guests to use WYSIWYG option. Right now it does not work and vBulletin.com doesn't either :(

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=147780

I really do not understand why they do not provide that feature... It's only smileys and some advanced text editing tags etc. Sometimes, unfortunately, the nature of the web site one developing requires to have unregistered users, and there's no other option.

If someone can help with this, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

the only way I see this is done is hardcoding wysiwyg into template....

Here's the thing, I just posted some vB code into the forum as a guest where WYSIWYG is not permitted. Guess what? When I viewed my message that I posted as a guest, all code was parsed and shown, including my new custom smileys... so it's just a matter of displaying the damn wysiwyg :(... anyone has an idea on any solution?

Hello,

As I understand it, the normal bb code is available to uregistered/guest posters, but there is no way to toggle on the WYSIWYG posting interface. Surely this is possible to hack.

The majority of our users post unregistered (one of the important features of the board). We switched from ubbthreads so we could enable image verification for unregistered posters. However, in doing so, we lost the robust post editor that was allowed for all users in ubbthreads. I would really like to give the majority of users this option.

Thank you!

It is a crying sham that this is denied from unregistered users.
