EXACT HTML Tags Allowed In HTML Enabled Forums

Enabling HTML is cool until people start screwing with the board. The EMBED tag is sketchy... I hate to have to dissable HTML globally on account of one bad apple.

Marco van Herwaarden 09-17-2005 06:18 PM

Anybody can screw up your board (intentional or not) when allowing html.

You can make a few tag available by defining bb-codes for them.

anything goes when you Enable HTML

Marco van Herwaarden 09-19-2005 09:15 AM

Please loose the attitude Brinnie, or accept that nobody want to help you. Also please re-read the answer already given.

Brinnie 09-19-2005 04:56 PM

So now I'm just a flat out stupid girl... So stupid that I need to re-read some common sense answer that the whole world already knows.

And you wonder where I get my attitude from.

Brad 09-19-2005 05:34 PM

Brinnie, you have been asked many times to drop this attitude when posting support requests in these forums. You act as if no one attempts to help you but in reailty it's your rudeness that drives people away from your requests in the first place.

Marco never called you stupid, he is simply stating that you will get more responces if you are polite in your posts. The post you deleted (which Marco's reply was to) was a good example of you not begin polite.

Everyone is here on their own time, and having an attitude such as yours doesn't make anyone want to help you.

Brinnie 09-20-2005 04:24 AM

And I don't give a ++++ if anyone fills my requests. I'm an idea factory... Ya'll should be paying me royalties.

So now you are calling me stupid?

What? Are you stupid?
Ever hear of "more than words"? Of course you have... It's the art of this board. To subtly put someone down, in a politically correct manner, telling them some common sense crap as if you were a moron.

AS IF they didn't know it... Like you and the Marco before you and all the other 'high and mighty' smartasses, publicly trying to punk me off on the boards rather than address it in PM... Oh yea, that's very 'management-like'...oh yes, very professional.

And don't even try to tell me it was on-topic...

Think about it.
I ain't no kid. I ain't no dumbshit either. Next time you tell me I have an attitude... THINK about the 'too cool for school' attutude that caused it... No, don't get defensive and spit out some mechanical responce- because I don't need it... No I don't- I already know EXACTLY what you're going to say. What I need is for you to THINK.

When ya'll cut that 'too cool for school' crap, I defend myself how I defend myself. Some computer freak with low self esteem get's their kicks off talking down to people cause that's all they got? Who's gonna take that shit? No me.

I got attutude cause I keep it real.

KuRi 09-20-2005 08:16 AM

i think this is a great idea.... not quite sure how it could be done though..... this will have me thinking for a while!!!

Marco van Herwaarden 09-20-2005 08:42 AM

KuRi,

Like answered earlier in this thread, you can allow a few HTML codes by assigning bb-codes to them, like that you can keep control over them.

But-that-does-not-work!

You can only assign BBCode to use brackets, not <html code> :ermm:
I know how to create a BBCode with brackets... [ b ] [ i ] [ u ] does no good for 1000 pounds of HTML posted over the years using <b> <i> <u>. It's essentially lost.

And that's why I say you call me stupid... Because you act like I am.
