Hmm, I don't see any Advantage over putting the HTML directly into Templates FORUMHOME/FORUMDISPLAY?

Anyway, I'd suggest to make it at least hassle-free by using a Product (see attached File).

This would cut down the Instructions to

- Import Product XML
- Make the 2 Template Edits

WOW - thanks.... waited for that one ;)

I just don't get it. The annoucement feature is already available in vB so why make thsi hack again?

To allow for more precise control of announcements, maybe?

Ok, I'm lost here. What will this do that isn't already done with the Announcements in RC 3?

Gio~Logist 09-11-2005 01:11 AM

It displays somewhat like this

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=64189

And boofo, take a look at my threads in the php/html/etc FORUM!

no one has been able to help me and i have a huge headache!

This is probably me being a little teeny bit moronic but... where do you write the message to display in the announcement?

I've tried the built in announcement tool but that just posts a standard issue announcement.

I'm not installing till there's a screen shot or a demo please.
