CMPS Hurricane Katrina Banner
This will add a banner to your vBadvanced CMPS so visitors can donate to the red cross to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Your help is needed now. There is no time to wait.
Create a new template called 'adv_portal_hurricane' (without the quotes), with this content: PHP Code:
Go to your ADMIN CP- VBa CMPS -> ADD MODULE -> TEMPLATE -> and create a module with the following properties: Module Title: Please Help Hurricane Victims Column: Center (I designed the layout to go across the middle, but you can re-design it to fit in a sidebox if you want by changing the size of the photo) Display Order: Your Choice ACTIVE: YES Template to include: adv_portal_hurricane (the 'adv_portal_' part is implied, so only enter 'hurricane' in the text box) Use Module Shell Template: YES |
Here is the banner, so people don't have to download the zip file if they don't want to. Of course you can substitute any banner to any aid organization, or link to that organization, that you want.
Also attached is a smaller graphic that can be used for a sidebox (thanks to MotoUp) The Red Cross, operation usa, Direct Relief, America's Second Harvest and many others are all working to help the victims. Any way that you can help is needed/appreciated, and there is no time to wait. You can donate directly to the New Orleans chapter of the America Red Cross by clicking HERE There is no time to wait! Every day that passes without the needed help brings those people closer to danger/death! If you never donated to anything like this before, now is the time for social action! The federal/local governement is doing what they can, but it will not be enough - aid organizations such as Red Cross and the rest are already on the ground helping people directly, and they can do more with your help. |

Edit- I just checked your out and it looks pretty good- you should release it here, as well. More people need to donate, and the more avenues we can give them the better. |
Would not This Code Be Better Then Putting in Table As This Does Not Throw The Page Out Of Allignment.

<p is not a relevent html tag anymore, we actually use <div instead...
|
you can also see the other version here: http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?p=60412
although it was written for cmps 1.0 on 3.0.X so I'm not sure how it would behave on newer versions |

I sure wish that mods at vb.org would add a red cross banner of sorts here - help is needed and there is no time to waste. |
Great module. Thanks!
