Pay Per Thread???
 

I am completely new to vBulletin and have searched for hours with no usefull results. I know about the Pay Per Category type subscription system built into vBulletin and numerous hacks to make it reoccuring, etc. What I am looking for is a hack that will require a payment be made before the user can start a single thread within a certain category. For example, in my site I have a classifieds section. I want the user to have to pay a nominal fee ($1) in order to start a thread to sell their goods. However, anyone can view/participate in the thread, JUST the thread originator has to pay.

Has anyone programmed such a hack? If not, will you please!!!

In 3.5 it should be fairly easy with Plugins ...

I'm not planning on upgrading to 3.5+ until it's out of beta.

Until it's in Full production, RC<insert number here> might as well be BETA. Besides, I posted this message in the vB3.0Modifications section, so which board I want the hack for is already implied. Don't let my post count fool you ... I have been administrating message boards since 1998 ... I know a thing or two about thread placement etiquette and searching before posting ;)
