a litle hack for news

Hallo,

excuse my bad english please.

I need a hack which shows a line of news on forumhome.
Sometimes I have important news for the forum, or make a backup, or..or..or..

For this time I search a little modifikation where I can show this
on forumhome.

Anyone a idea ?
