vbulletin instant messenger!
 

How hard would it be to make a addon that is an instant messenger program for vbulletin using mysql, php, and javascript for vb's user commnity.

What would i need to create to have such a tool so i could chat with other members signed into my forums.

could someone please help me compile a list of types of scripts and interfaces so i can write up a design document

try looking at bb messenger, its in beta and comes with no support but it may point you in the right direction;)

I never installed that but I heard it works awesome and it looks VERY good.

These systems always work well on forums, so as long as the beta works good, I'd say go for it. Always back up your files before modification, of course. :)
