Is this release going to be updated soon for 3.5? The reason I ask is that it was suggested to me that if I buy today then I get 3.5 and I the anon mod is one I really want

You should be asking this in the thread about the modification you need. Not many coders are checking the Pre-Sales forum.

If you would buy vB today, you will get access to both 3.5 (beta, unstable) and 3.0 (final, stable). Which one you want to use is up to you.

I looked :)

I need to port the darn thing, but just haven't gotten around to it. It was a nightmare to support on 3.0.x and I am not ready for that time-sink just yet.
