Hello :D

commSTATIC.com is my second serious attempt at running a vBulletin community, although this time I actually know how to install hacks, edit things, and I've pretty much customized everything as much as possible. Its been fun, learning as much as I physically can and not being scared to run a query or two ;)

So, the commSTATIC forum has just been open for Beta Testing. I'm basically trying to find any bugs and fix 'em, plus listen to suggestions, no matter how big or small, so I can take these on board and improve the place ready for its official launch ^^;;

If anyone could offer criticism or suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!

We don't have any website content yet, thats coming after the Beta Testing.. I also use a custom skin that I brought from vB Mechanic, partly cos I am just rubbish at the graphic side of things.

I have uploaded a full sized screen shot of what the forum home looks like to members (Well, most notably me LOL but normal members will see what I see, apart from the Staff Union forum). Its a big image, so may take a lil while to download if your connection is slow.. And then some. But view it here!

I only have two problems: I'm not sure I like the number of threads and replies italicized by the forum names, and the logo doesn't really match the color and feel of the style. Other than that you look like you know what you're doing, and good luck with your site! :)

Thanks for your opinion, I appceciate it ^^;; This is what the Beta Testing idea is all about :D

When you mention the logo, do you mean the text/font style, or the funny image in the forum banner at the top? I can change the text style no problem, but the funny image may be a tad more difficult for someone with rubbish graphic skills like myself!

I also see what you mean about the threads/replies being in italics.. That shouldn't be too hard to change, thank you :)

Edit: Removed the italics, and also removed 'em from the stats box too. It does look more smarter that way, thanks!

Looking pretty good, load time is a little slow but thats expected considering the skin has quite a few images. All in all, pretty good commTRU, BTW: I know you from DES.

Hrm, I wonder if there is a way to try and increase the speed without changing the skin? Its quite a pretty lil skin, but obviously functionality should come first :) Thats something I should look into, thanks for the comment!

And yes, I probably do know you from DES. But here I am :)
