View all posts in child/subforum in parent forum?

I have subforums set up to act as a filter, essentially... if people want to see certain types of posts they can visit the child forum. Consequently, if the person is in the parent forum I'd like ALL child topics to show up there as well. I did a quick search and couldn't find anything to answer this... does anyone know if this kind of mod exists?
