It would be nice to have plugin for vB 3.5 which will show this info in footer or somewhere.

The Steel Blue style has this already, perhaps you could ask the auther how he did it and make the plugin yourself?

It's just a bit of javascript matey.

Try searching www.dynamicdrive.com for 'reverse countdown' or 'countup' or something.

(Or, install my style...its already there for ya!) ;)
