background images on forumbit (forumhome)

howdy,

i've seen plenty of mods which allow the display of images in the forumbit on forumhome, but i'm looking for a way to display individual *background* images instead. anyone know how to do this?

i'm guessing changing alt1 isn't the best idea as it will also modify the "what's going on" section as well?
