Problem removing margin from header images.

Hi all,

I hope this question is appropriate, and hasn't been beaten to death. I sifted through dozens of pages of search results, to no avail, so I hope that means that this issue hasn't been covered recently (as opposed to it meaning I suck at searching ;) ).

I am trying to add some navigation buttons to the top of my forum in a standard vB style (3.08), and I can't for the life of me get them to vertically align completely to the bottom so they touch the next table.

Any advice would REALLY be appreciated!

Here is the code from my header template:

Code:

<!-- logo -->
<a name="top"></a>
<table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center" valign="bottom">
<tr>
        <td align="$stylevar[left]"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php?$session[sessionurl]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>
        <td align="$stylevar[right]" valign="bottom">
                &nbsp;
<!--
  NEW HEADER &amp; NAVBAR

  Now that the nav buttons are in the
  navbar template, you can stick whatever
  you like into this space.

  This makes it much easier for novice
  admins to customize their header
  template without affecting important
  navigation elements.
-->
<A HREF="http://....com/"><IMG SRC="/vb/images/topnav/home.jpg" HEIGHT="28" BORDER="0"></A>
<A HREF="http://.....com/vb/"><IMG SRC="/vb/images/topnav/forums.jpg" BORDER=0></A>
<A HREF="http://......com/gallery"><IMG SRC="/vb/images/topnav/gallery.jpg" BORDER=0></A>
        </td>
</tr>
</table>
<!-- /logo -->

<!-- content table -->
$spacer_open

$_phpinclude_output

I added a valign=bottom to the second cell in the table and while that brought all the images down, it didn't bring them down far enough.

The logo on the left hand side sits flush with the table below.

I have attached an image of the uncooperative buttons.

Thanks for your help!

-Nick
