Variable for Forum ID Number?

Hello,

This is probably something really obvious, but I cant find it

Does anyone know the variable name for the forum ID number?

I want to host a picture at the top of my site in VBulletin, depending on what forum they are viewing

e.g. the source of the image would be something like

http://www.myforum.com/images/[forumid].gif

So that the image changes depending on where i am...

e.g. it would change to 1.gif, 3.gif etc...

Anyone know? It's probably something obvious

$forum['forumid']? ;)

I'm no expert, but wouldn't some sort of if/then statement based on $forum['forumid'] have to be made in the header template?

If I remember correctly someone posted a list of all the variables over at vbulletintemplates.com so it should be around here somewhere

hmmm it comes up with a parse error if you put in $forum['forumid']

But i've noticed in the rest of the file the variables are in there without the ' '

So i tried

http://www.forum.com/images/$forum[forumid].gif

Which is not generating any parse errors, but it's just coming up with

http://www.forum.com/images/ .gif

I'll have look and see if perhaps that's not the correct variable?
I'm in the process of moving over from SMF and i can do it in that :surprised: I just dont want to make styles for every single board.... I only want to change the logo at the top

I'll keep tryin tho!! would be cool if anyone else has any suggestions lol

James :squareeyed:

grrr just tried it with

images/topics/$session[sessionurl].gif

just to see if it would generate some sort of

images/topics/235654654879846513.gif type thing, but it still just says

images/topics/ .gif

:tired:

So i dont think this is the write approach lol

:disappointed:

Hoorah!

it's just

images/topics/$forumid.gif

Cheers Boofo for pointing me in the right direction anyways :)

And to you other guys!!
