RPG Inferno 2.4 Addon: RPG Info in postbit
 

This is a modification for RPG Inferno v2.4

This presents the users RPG Info in their postbit in a dhtml dropdown box.

A version similar to this was released by Zero Tolerance, with his permission I'm releasing this one as he's busy working on the new Inferno version :D

Okay, this is in the format that I originally did. ZT's was much nicer and I may try to work out a combination of the two later but for now, this will do :)

If you have an rpg avatar it'll display that, if not it'll grab your job's image.

Also, all the words are controlled through phrases. The money phrase in the plugin default is "Gil" though in the screenshots here it'll be "Spam Coins".

If you want to change it from Gil to something else, just go to your Languages & Phrases -> Search in Phrases ->

Search for Text: inferno_postbit_gil
Search in: Phrase Variable Name only
Click Find
Click Edit
Type the name of your money in the box and click save.


Again, when this plugin is installed it will be "Gil".
Things to do:

Upload 1 xml
Edit 1 template
Enjoy!
(Optional, edit one phrase if your money is named something other then "Gil")


Version 1.1.0 does not work in PMs so it has If statements so it doesn't even display the box (broken links annoy me). There is an addon released in https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=757324&postcount=18]THIS POST[/url] that enables it to work in PMs however, currently that requires a file edit so it is not in the main version.

New Version 1.1.0 to fix error when reputation system is enabled and bar images.

To upgrade follow the instructions in the zip.

You ONLY have to do the file edit if you use the reputation system.

Fixed dhtml in PMs however as it requires a file edit I've released it in this post

And not with the full hack as I'm hoping to avoid file edits whereever I can. This way people who donot wish to do the file edit can install the normal version and those that want it to appear in PMs can do the addon after installing the normal version.

Hmm, didn't think I had messed with that from the reputation thing.

Let me double check this real fast with a fresh file.

Just what i was looking for.

The only problem i have is my bars (colours) are not showing up.

Bar one I can fix.

Bug found with those that have the reputations turned on.

Search for a fix on it then I'll post up both.

Question to the moderators... would this need to be classified as a code modification due to it needing a file edit to work with those using the reputation system?

um...stupid question...

but the inferno forums say RPG Inferno v2.4 is only good for vb up to 3.0.7. yet, your mod is for RC2. :/ :ermm:

so.... we need to have RPG installed first to use this right? (but can't cause its not compatible). Am I missing something? :confused:

works great thanks.. now since your the coder of the hack i think i should ask you
before i try taking it apart.

1. when you hover the link to see the profile on my board its kinda just the I <--- looking cursor how can i change that if i hover other links it shows the hand.

2. instead of showing members avatars how can i det rid of that and either show nothing or the job icon. because if the avatar is to big it makes it look crappy.

Rpg inferno is avaliable for 3.5

And the hack works great,thank you
