Just launched RacerWeek.com

Check it out, still stomping out a few bugs. Let me know what you think, and join up if you like racing:

I like your site but there are a couple things I would do. For one, you did a very nice job on the right side of your portal by removing the module look. I would try doing something similar on the left side as well. Either format the left similar to the right, or if you want it to have more a navigation look to it, remove the borders and tcat, and give the left column a colored background.

Second, while the skin looks nice, to me it does not have a very race car oriented look to it. The header is very good, but the blue and gray colors, while safe, could use a little flash to them.

Other than that, I think you have done everything right. You are off to a great start. Good luck with your site!

BTW..my town is Nascar crazy. I think I might join your site and try to contribute a little.

-Left side and right side bars on your portal need to match. I like the way you've done the right side of your portal, so I'd do the same to the left. :)
-Your style is quite nice. However on your forumhome, you have a box with nothing in it. May only be viewable to guests, log out and you'll see.

Otherwise, very nice. :)

Thanks for the replies! I agree on the left side, I will prob tackle that this weekend.

ATC_Damian - I agree the template is a little bland, I want to balance usability with excitement. i may try to add just a little accent color. also, join up! our NASCAR section needs help, would love to have you as a member.

thanks again.

Nice design! I like the non-modular look too. Forums look nice and clean

Took a while to load the frontpage for me (on cable)

I agree with everything this guy said and in addition, I would use a stronger gradient and/or border on your navbar...

It looks like the buttons are just floating in water.
