adding permission selection in registration..help please

Hi all
Im hoping somebody could help me out as im not a programmer
I want to add a tickbox in the registration form that will automaticly selct a permission for that user.
basicly i want disabled users of my forum to only see the disabled forum without having to add permissions one by one after they have joined
Could somebody please help me out
