Just thot of a new feature for polls, wonder what the vb community thinks of this?

How about if the creator of the poll has the option to allow new posters to add additional options to the poll.

So in the above poll for example, people can add names of other bulletin boards.

Personally, I don't think I'd like to see it on my boards. If someone starts a poll to get an opinion, I don't think they'd like to see others add to their poll.

That's why I suggested that the poll poster has the option to allow or disallow the additions. I agree that in many polls it would be bad. But let's say there are lots of options, so say you post a poll

What's your favorite color,

1. Red
2. Green
3. Blue

And you want to let other people add other colors, they can do it. If you don't want them to, they can click on the option "No one can add options to your poll" or words to that effect.

That is what "Other" is for. Then people can choose that and specify their response in a reply to the thread.
