I need to implement a feature in a website for online gamers; I was wondering if this already exists in some form or if there is some existing hack from which I can start to build it.

This is what I need. A user can display to other users when he is available online to play a certain online game. So for example user "Mickey" will play Halo every Monday and Tuesday from 17:30 to 20:30, and on Sunday at the same time.

How can I do this?

You could add a new profile field, and add it to your postbit :)

No sorry, this is something a bit more complex. A user must be able to specify play times for different games, plus there should be some kind of search engine, user-match thing.

As I said, I am looking for something a bit more complex, probably something you would classify as a major addon, and that implies usage of calendar, multiple games selection, and a sort of match making function. Please refer to xboxlive.teamxbox.com for an example of how the thing may work (of course, this is an advanced example).
