Calendar Event Notification/Email

Is there a hack out there that automatically sends out an email to all members in a certain user group on a event listed in the calendar?
Or one that I can choose to send out an email notification of certain events to certain usergroups? LOL

I came to the forum this morning to post a request for this exact same thing. It would be super sweet if I could set an email template that could be automatically broadcast to a specific user group for events in a specific calendar at a specified time period before the event. Is there an existing mod like this for 3.6?
