Question about Styles
 

i have a question about parent/child styles.

right now my site has only 1 style with modded and custom templates. but we've been considering adding in more skins so users can choose. my questions are...

1) if i add in new styles as a child of my current skin, will it inherit all of the modded and custom templates from the parent?

2) if it does inherit the templates, later in time, say i want to change something in the templates. if i change something in the parent style, will the child style templates all be modified too? or will i have to change those individually.

1) If you modified Template somename in Style X and add a Childstyle to this Style X, the modified Template somename will be in this Childstyle if the Childstyle itself doesn't customize this Template
2) The Childstyle will use the Template in the Parentstyle - as long as you don't customize the Template in the Childstyle. Then it will be independant.
