Question About Moving Servers & SQL
Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well!!
Question...currently I am running VB 3.0.8 on a server with mySQL 4.1.13. Now I know vbulletin had issues with a bug in SQL 4.1.X so they ran some queries to fix that. If I move to a server that is running a earlier version of mySQL, will those queries be a problem? Lets say it is running something prior to 4.1.X Thanks for the help!! |
No those queries will not be a problem, but you might need to make the backup in compatibility mode.
To what version are you moving? |
Ok forgive me, however, how do you do the backup in compatibility mode? At this time I use SSH to do the database dump. Thanks!
