Automatic image resize in posts?

Does this exist? So say someone places an image in a post, and it's too big and breaks the table. Is their a mod that will auto resize them while maintaining a decent quality? Thanks!

P.S. - I realize this is supposedly covered by GD 2.0+, but it doesn't always seem to work.
