very strange just after the 3.5 rc1 release! bug/security fixes are always good :D

I'm saying screw it. I've got my 3.0.5 board hacked and they didn't release a patch for this one. I'm willnig to wait ou the security risk and upgrade with 3.5.0 gold comes out.

Making daily back-ups now though.

Compare unmodified 3.0.8 private.php and faq.php to their 3.0.7 Versions and you'll see the changes and can apply them to your Version as well.

I'm using 3.0.5. But is this the only two files ot patch? If so I'll go ahead and update them.

Probably from 3.0.5 to 3.0.8 there are a few more changes than 2 files. I think each of the release posts at vBulletin.com tell you what files have changed.

Marco van Herwaarden 07-29-2005 03:55 AM

There is a long list of files changd for 3.0.8

I added the required file and template changes to fix the security issues for 3.0.7 here:

wasn't there a thread that described how to upgrade without loosing your hacks? I have been searching for 30 minutes now. I am running 3.0.3 and would love to get my site upgraded to 3.0.8 sometime.

bigcurt 07-29-2005 08:34 PM

well upgrading from 3.0.3 to 3.0.8 is fairly more difficult (without losing hacks) then upgrading from 3.0.7..all you can do is look for the patches and start patching 0_o xD.
