IRC topic

would it not be possible to have relevant topics and have a bot echo out the disclaimer/rule thing to anyone upon entry?

also could be lighten the rules a little, or clarify that while we can't give hack support we can discuss code or something like that, it's seldom done as it so i don't see what difference it would make but talking code can actually be quite fun, it's atleast alot better than the silence that can go on for days while brad's out racking up more stories to come back and share :p

Although in my opinion general php-coding should be allowed, it would be difficult to draw the line where general talk stops and vB support start (PS If we can not allow it, then have a look in #webdevelop @ skysnolimit-irc.net :D)

#php on irc.efnet.net is also often helpful :) I think we need a rules page on this site though. The disclaimer takes up too much room in the topic as it is.

why not make a sticky thread in the lounge?

and is there anyone of worm-holing that channel to devcore?

Corriewf 07-26-2005 11:38 PM

Why even have rules when hardly anyone is there and talks.......

Can't comment on that since i never visit any of the bigger irc networks. Or too much kiddies trying to make your life a hell, or to much restrictions.

Maybe you should have a look, you might be surprised.

To stop them from talking. :D
Nahh, seriously, it depends on the time and on the day. Sometimes it is very active, sometimes dead quiet.
