Share a specific forum across multiple sites

I am interested in shareing specific forums across multiple sites.

Is this doable?

I think that might run into licensing issues. iirc, you can only have 1 URL for the forum...

That is not correct.
You can have multiple urls for one forum as long as it is one installation with the same content for all urls.

So it would be allowed to have several domains for your forum
but it would not be allowed to make each domain only show a specific part of your forum without access to the other forums for this you would need multiple licenses
