Search in vBulletin database from external site

Hi there,

we are currently developing a new search system for our content site and want to get threads from the forum within the search results.

How can we fetch information from the forum database just like a guest search (only free viewable forums)?

im not sure how to do this but i believe u would have to get the ip of ur mysql server

Well, actually we have everything we need and can easily connect to the server (we do this for getting user information).
But how should the SQL statement look like for getting the search result (like a guest search)?
