Featured Forum Module for VBAd

I would like a module that displays a particular forum either set by me or random, that would change when i change it, or if randomly, by a time period that i set. I would like it to be able to do all the child forums of a parent, but no other parents. If that all makes sense or someone knows, let me know, much appreciated.
