vb.org Archive - Including external PHP code in a post

Hi folks,
I have a database of DVD reviews which I would like to include into our forums.
I can arrange it so that when calling a php script with a review id, the HTML of that review will be returned.
So would it be possible to have a BB code which gets the review?
E.g. the post would consist of [review=1234]
And the postbit script would parse that, go to the custom php script with the ID, eval the resulting HTML and display it?
Would that work?
And is anyone interested in coding it?

I tried looking through the BB parse script but it was waaaay over my head.
