functions.php problem

I seem to be running into a problem.

When I edit the functions.php and upload it, I get this error.

Code:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /usr/home/chyrule/public_html/forums/includes/functions.php on line 2023

But when I have it off, there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Why does this happen?

Don't use Dreamweaver or Frontpage to edit functions.php

ha, I had the same error. thank you for your help.

edit: I just used notepad instead and it works
