Quote tags dont work....
 

All of a sudden my quote tags dont work. If I put =whoever it works fine but other then that it just ignores them.

I havent installed or changed anything recently. I dont know whats going on.

Any ideas?

If something just sudden;y stop working, something must have changed. A source, a template, or even your host could have made some changes on the server (unlikely in this case).

Try creating a new style with no parent first, then switch to that style and see if it works.

I tried that and it worked. I went back over everything that I have done in the past and replaced them with my backups. Still cant get them to work.

I guess I'll just keep looking...as it has to be something I have done.

At least you now know the problem must be in the style somewhere.

Check the bbcode_quote template in the broken style.

Nope thats just fine.

I dont get it because [QUOTE=someone] works just fine but [QUOTE] just doesnt seem to want to work.

The only thing I have changed was removing the 'embedded poll in first post' so that vbookie would show. I did that sometime last week and this just happened the other night.
