A request for all coders?
 

I just blew up the test bed earlier today. Attempted to load a plugin that was already loaded. Forum went BOOM! LOL

Is it possible to include a query that checks to see if the plugin is already loaded and tells you that you're about to make a very serious boo-boo if you proceed? At least I learned something today. Forum go boom when you load plugin that's already loaded. ROTF!

I have done this several times with no ill effects (other than having a duplicate plugin) ?????

Interesting. This was done with the Who Viewed your Profile plugin. As soon as I clicked the upload button, the forum blew up. Literally.

I hope no one was hurt.

Plugin makers need to use the unique identifyer feature. :)

Yes, but make sure you don't use an identifier that starts with 'vb'. That one will be reserved for use by Jelsoft.

The style within the AdminCP was gone. Poof. Along with all forums and posts on "forumhome". Only error message I received was that the plugin system was shut down globally.

Since this was a test bed, I wasn't too concerned about everything, and after monkeying around with it for around an hour, decided to just wipe out the install and start from scratch again.

There might be a Problem with the Installer then :)
I tested this on Beta 3, but didn't have the chance to test it on Beta 4 yet.
