Got into a high speed chase with the police last night

Except I was the one doing the chasing :D.

I was driving home last night when I notice someone pulling out of my uncle's printing shop drive way. We've had a ton of break ins over the years so I'm not about to let this car get away from me without getting a good look at it.

Anyway I'm about a half mile away from the shop when I see this car, so I had to make time. So I put the gas to the floor and the car drops back to 3rd gear, it isn't long before I hit 85 mph and peg my speedo out, so there is not telling how fast I was going but I'll just call it an even 100 mph, in a 55 mph zone... :)

About a mile down the road I finnaly catch up to the car and get a good look at it, it's a Rockingham county sheriff's deparment car....at this point I say the one word anyone in my situation would have probbly said '++++'.

Anyway he pulls into a parking lot so I decided to save him some time and pull in behind him. I roll down my window and call him over and explain why I was speeding, he says 'o, well I was just checking on your building, don't worry about it. Go home, now'.

I was stunned... :surprised:

I almost began I police officer. I made it through all six steps and was ready to go in and changed my mind. All in all police officers are good people and wont give you a hard time if they know you dont mean any harm. I probably wouldnt have stopped, but its good you did.

Depends where you are ;)

In Wellingborough the Police ignore you :p

The only time I've ever seen them stop someone in the 12 years I've lived in this area was when they were driving on the wrong side of the road, at speed, in the dark with no lights on :p

See, the way my town is, is that the police only stop people on fridays ( the day they turn in there reports ) on friday you better watch out, if you forgot to close your gas tank lid, you will get a ticket :P stupid stuff like jaywalking :P. But on other days you can do anything you want :-D.

Because it's extremely unsafe. That and some people aren't smart enough to be able to pull it off.

Kind of related, but not: My dad ran over a homeless guy who was jay walking. Then the truck behind my dad hit him too. The guy lived, my dad gave him a ride to his.. "home". Home being a park, of course.

It's only unsafe if you are stupid ;)
