AJAX for rating system
 

as the title suggests, perhaps users can rate threads using the ajax system. basically it works like gmail's starred conversations. for those who dont have gmail, it's a light/fading image for the user to click on, and when they do, it lights up.

what do u guys think?

heh it really depends on what kind of sites u are talking about. it's widely used for mine.

Actually, one of the reasons why a lot of people doesn't use the rating system is because of the time they loose refreshing.

Look the blog at ajaxian.com or the rating system in amazon. We should have something like that in vbulletin ;)

Not as wasteful as reloading the whole page again after running rating.php when it is used. ;)

I have this in my upcoming Articlebot Live. I'm pretty sure I have seen a few others in some hacks.

Im looking for this too.

A lot of members in my board dont know how to rate a thread basically, because its not very visible. It wuold be great having it in the middle of a thread with ajax.

I belive v3arcade uses one, and it would be great if its adapted, my users use the rating system extensively.
