Photo Gallery?
 

Hello, new here and just learning what vBulletin can do (alone and with hacks). My understanding is that there was a hack here similar to PhotoPost? I don't see it anywhere. Can someone kindly direct me? Thank you.

Which does not yet support 3.5

PhotoPost has users using 3.5 and sharing the minor changes necessary to integrate with the changes from 3.0.

Now its does.

I used Photopost for more then a year but now I am switching over to vbGallery cause this one has 2 clear advantages for me.

1. Its using the vb phrase system so that I can show it to my users in different languages. pp can only have one in the actual version :(

2. Its using the vb rights management system.
No need to import/export usergroups etc. I hated this while working with pp.

I'm using menalto gallery, there is a hack or file edit here I believe or vbulletin.com which allows you to integrate them somewhat nicely and they are free. I was searching for that when I found this thread:) The hack involves adding a gallery.php file which is the one file that connects gallery with vb.

The reason I am NOT going to use vBadvanced Gallery is that it does not have a bulk upload feature that is easy for members to use. My members aren't savvy enough to use FTP. With Photopost your members can use .zip uploads, and with Menalto Gallery there is even a drop and drop interface that your members can download.

I asked for my money back from vBadvanced Gallery since I am not going to use the software that I purchased. They denied me. Beware!

Menalto galler does support a number of upload options, you can ftp if you want, do it through the browser, launch a java app to choose multiple files, or you can just choose your pics in XP, then choose publish to website from the left side menu in XP..There is also gallery remote which is a stand alone app for uploading pics into your gallery. The problem is that some of these options don't quite work 100% when you embed it into your VB...the normal browser and XP ways work and those are probably the easiest for end users.
