Help with Nav bar hack
 

we have 26 forums with 350 subforums(forumdisplay or categories)
When someone registers they register with a subforum or categories in mind.

How can I add the forum or category they choose when the registered to the nav bar when they log in? (For easier navigation)

I think this is similar to a weather hack with a zip code in a field?

How are they selecting the forum they are signing up for...

Just like the weather hack they would enter a zip code and their weather shows up.
In this case they would pick from a drop down of forums, soccer,football,baseball,ext. So when they sign in it would have that forum on the nav bar so they don't need to search for it.
