Ok i'm lost

Yip sorry, going to sound like a right tit here but....

I bought VBulletin and got upgraded to 3.07

Now after a couple of months away from here and vbulletin.com
i see 3.5 everywhere.

Is 3.7 going to be 3.5 like and alpha, beta etc etc
and can i upgrade 3.07 to 3.5

Or is 3.5 a new product, like vbull lite, vbull full

Yours, the clueless one

vB is just the next version in teh 3.x line, with a lot of improvements and internal changes.

You will have access to all versions of vB that are released during the time you have a valid Support License.

vb 3.5 is currently in beta 3 and we'll have a few more beta releases before it goes gold. You can upgrade to vb 3.5 although its not recomended it until it does go gold.

3.5 is an extention of 3.0.7 in the way that vb 2.2.x was to vb 2.0.x - or in other words, some of the updates and added features changed enough of the coding that it wouldn't do it justice to call it 3.0.8.

Of the top of my head, 3.5 adds inline moderation, classes, a plugin system and some more good stuff but you'll find that there are some coding and other similiarities between 3.0.7 and the latest beta.

So how hard is it to upgrade to the new one when it is out of beta testing? Should I wait to start my forum until the new one is released? And when will that be?

very easy to upgrad upload files run install and done (on an unmodified board) we dont know when 3.5 final will be released so flip a coin on what to do

When you say unmodified you mean no hacks etc? So any hacks installed will have to be re-installed?

Ahh man, ok, seems I will stick with the board I go with without upgrading because I can't install hacks and normally have to pay someone to aren't gonna do that after every upgrade :(
