Default all searches to Display posts
 
Is there a way to default all searches to return posts rather than the default, threads?

I've tried to add in showposts=1 in the Navbar template for the "normal" search mode, but it still return the results as threads.

Any ideas?

Hmm, adding a hidden field showposts with value 1 should be working.
Or do you want this for getnew/getdaily?

I actually appended the showposts=1 to <a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]showposts=1">.

Not for getnew/getdaily, the "normal" way of searching, as of through the dropdown box.
