Styles Help

When I upload a style, I want it to take on the default's hacks I have installed. It never works, no matter whether I make the default the parent style or not.

Any ideas on how to do that?

If you're talking about template code from hacks, you need to re-do it for the new style you're uploading.

or you can make it as a child style for the style you have the hack templates on ;)

even if you make it a child, If that style had any change made to a template, that template will not inherit from the parent. As I've seen, many of the styles have modifications to navbar, postbit etc... the very same template you usually need to change when putting in a new hack :). So no matter what you do, those already changed temps won't inherit.

The first post states he needs the modification templates he already has created be ported over to a new style.

Creating a child style will inherit the templates in the parent style. Just not if you add new templates.

Yes, but the style is different. The child style only works for color changes and that. But let's say this is a completly different design, and to put hack code template changes in to templates such as forumhome, you need to do it manually.
