Forum Link loses title
Hi,
When setting up a new forum and applying a link so it's mearly a forum link, the forum itself appears but the title (and it's link) do not appear. Any clue where this is controlled? Thanks. |
More information needed. Where are you applying this link? Do you mean a specific forum inside your forums?
|
I'm creating a new forum. In the forum set up I enter a url in the forum link field. I set the forum to be a subforum of an existing forum. Then Save changes.
The subforum appears as it should. The forum description appears, the last post, replies, views, and, moderator column appear correct. The only thing that is missing is the subforum title. This leaves nothing to click on for the link. Jake, over at vbulletin.com suggested reverting all forumhom_forumbit templates. I'll try that and try to track down what template is the problem specifically. Thanks. |
So the forum title isn't appearing?
Make sure this whole if condition appears in your forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost. <if condition="$show['subforums']"><div class="smallfont"><strong>$vbphrase[subforums]</strong>: $forum[subforums]</div></if> Oh, attach the forumhome_forumbit_level1_nopost template and I'll take a look at it. |

Hi Tony,
Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to this. I would appreciate any help you could provide. here is my forumhome_level1_nopost template HTML Code:
<table class="tborder" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" align="center"> Still running v3.0.1 and not looking forward to hours of upgrading :) |
Eeee, whoops. I made a big mistake. Should be the forumdisplay template. Could you please attach that instead? Thanks, and sorry about this.
|
No problem. Thank for the assistance.
Here's the FORUMDISPLAY template. HTML Code:
$stylevar[htmldoctype] Thanks again for the hand Tony. |

That's kind of long... a text file might be easier to use.
So.. :) |
Code:
<td class="tcat" width="100%">$vbphrase[subforums]<span class="normal">: $foruminfo[title]</span></td> |
Okay, thank Tony. I appreciate you looking.
