colors for linked images with borders

I have an image, it has a border, and the colors that come standard with it are too-bright blue when not visible, dirty purple when has been visited. What's the code that I need to use to change this?

The old way I used to do it was throwing in some good old alink="#0A1583" vlink="#0A1583" link="#0A1583" in the BODY tags, but that's probably outdated now.
