User Notes Help
 

I currently run version 3.0 Gold for a sports card trading site (www.rustysoaptraders.com). One of the features that we use the most is the user notes feature - this allows members to leave feedback for each other after they have traded.

now when you go to a users profile you have a Notes section with a link to see or post notes about the user - My question is how do I put that in the postbit. I would like that link to appear in the user info on all the members posts. This will make it easier for other users to see and post feedback.

This will add the options to view and post new notes in the pop-up in the postbit for each user :)

For some reason I decided to post it that way round.

I apprecaite the help but nothing shows up when I do what you said.

this is the orginal psotbit template - can you make the change so I can copy and paste teh whole thing - I want it to show up under number of posts and for it to look like this 'User Feedback: [View/Post]' with the view/post being the clickable link to the notes file for that user. I would appreciate the help.

right then, just replace your entire postbit with this code.

You will need to add the following phrase

PHRASE TYPE: GLOBAL
varname: user_feedback
text: User Feedback

This will show as a link for view and a link for new in the postbit under the postcount and reputation line.

I tried this and nothing shows up in the thread. I changed the post bit to exactly what you had and I added the global phrase and it looks the same as it did before.

Do you have permissions set so that the users can view usernotes?

I can't see anything as a guest to your site.

You could remove the <if> statement but if they do not have permissions to view usernotes then they will get an error screen so the <if> statement makes it look more professional.

I would just check the usergroup permissions and see what happens with that.

If it still doesn't work then I'll try it again on mine but there is no reason that I can see why the code should not work.
