Threads and Polls

First Question,
I need to know if, Like the Search "do" (getdaily and getnew),

Is there a option to query the database for the most active threads on your site.

If so, How might I set this up, as something that comes up above the boards

Second Question,

Also, Is there a way to query and get results of only Polls, Not just one, but the last 4 or 5 Polls, that I could encorporate above the boards list, This would be just a list of the polls and maybe there subject
