Extra Quick Registration

People sometimes get confused to fill all the registration form. For those, who don't really know, what is PC and Windows, I would want to have a reg form in a pop-up window with only 4 questions:

nickname (+ real name as an option)
password
e-mail
birthdate

Could somebody make it really small, so it does not frighten, but would attract new members to the community?
