Is this possible?

I am an Administrator for a programming community and as previous members to other coding communities, I noticed that many people wouldn't sign up due to they could come take code and leave. There was pretty much no reason for the guests to sign up 'cause the code was universably viewable.

With the above in mind, is there anyway to modify something that displays some custom text in replace of the code & php tags for guests, not logged in and coppa users?

If so, could someone please direct me to the right place, otherwise.. do any of you think you could make a mod for this purpose?

Thanks,
-Tim

Hi,

This is possible in version 3 with the templates, but in version 2 it requires hacking the files. If you ask over at www.vbulletin.org they will tell you, they use the same thing over there to hide code from un-licensed users.

Yes, I did that already but, also thought I would give a try over here also. I was indeed referring to vB2.x. By any chance do you know the name of this so called hack so that I could look into it?

Thanks,
-Tim

Yes its called License users.

I do not own the license but the owner of the forum does own it. I am just an Admin trying to prevent code from being taken from the site and only having that type of feedback. If someone feels I need this done for some type of warez, etc. board.. the url to the forums is ( http://www.vbnull.com ) - Visual Basic Programming Community.

Well, for an update I have positive feedback, someone over at vBulleting.org 'Mist' has made this for me and I am grateful. For those that are interested, please use the below link.
