Shoutbox template mod

Hi all

I am trying to add a text input box right next to my latest shout on the my forumhome page. I want people to be able to post a shout without going to the shoutbox.php page to do so. I have the code already diaplaying on the page yet it is appearing below the latest shout. I want the row divided into 2 colums, the right being the latest shout, the left being the input box to post a shout.

Here is what I have and it is displaying the text input below the latest shout:

<tr id="cat">
<td bgcolor="{tableheadbgcolor}" colspan="3"><a href="$bburl/shoutbox.php?s=$session[sessionhash]" title="The Shoutbox"><center><normalfont color="{tableheadtextcolor}"><b>The Shoutbox - Latest Shout - Click to SHOUT!</normalfont></center></b></a></td>
</tr>

<tr>
<td bgcolor="{firstaltcolor}" colspan="3"><center><smallfont><b>Posted by <a href="$bburl/member.php?s=$sesion[sessionhash]&action=getinfo&userid=$shout[userid]" class="small">$shout[username]</a> on $shout[timestamp]</b></smallfont>
<br/><smallfont>$shout[shout_text]</smallfont></center></td>

<table cellpadding="8" cellspacing="0" border="0" {tableinnerextra} width="100%">
<tr bgcolor="{secondaltcolor}">
<td width="100%"><normalfont><b>Your Shout:</b></normalfont> &nbsp; <smallfont><b>[ <a href="$bburl/misc.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=showsmilies" class="small" target="_blank">Smilies</a> - <a href="$bburl/misc.php?s=$session[sessionhash]&action=bbcode" class="small" target="_blank">vB Code</a> ]</b></smallfont>
<br/><textarea name="message" rows="3" cols="60" class="bginput" wrap></textarea>
</td>

</tr>

Ok again, I want the text input box to display to the right of the latest shout on that same row, 50% colums. This is using vb 2 latest version.

Thanks for any help!

Never mind, figured it out thanks to looking at a simple table made in frontpage. That's the only reason I keep that proram around, I can look at the codes it creates in tables etc.
