Hi, I'm new, got a problem

Hi everyone, I just signed up and did the whole e-mail activation thang but I can't look at images and stuff when I try to. I also can't download .zips or any attachments for that matter. I get a page that says I can't edit posts. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.
