heya boyz n girlz

good day to all

just joined here to get to know some others who good at design etc... been using bb based systems for a while and upgrading to vb as always liked and had a license while back till recently sold it... (was a shared license and didn't too much tech work on the forums like mods etc)

now just basically gettin hang of it as well as it's database system...

da styles/templates i think i'll figure out ezily enuf... the one i'm havin issues wit is if anyone could help would appreciate, conversion/importing phpbb database to vb... if anyone can get some importers for vb, would much appreciate so i can test out b4 buying like 10 licenses

There are phpbb importers avaiable at vbulletin.org and in the members area. You can not test drive the importer before you buy, you must me a lincensed holder of vBulletin before you can download hacks/mods, or recive support from vBulletin.org/.com/vBulletintemplates.com.

ya... got the phpbb2 importer last night from vbulletin.org.. haven't tried out yet...

long process for me cause current client has made it pain in da *** considerring he's started phpbb forum with access database so first gotta convert that to mysql, i think there's app there called access2mysql (anyone had ny experiences?), and then use the converted sql database to vb... lol... can't wait :P any thoughts on how you think the conversion process will go?

regardless, the license thing is kinda screwed up cause I owned one for long time, and recently sold it cause I wasn't having enuf time for doing aything on the forums and didn't want to put it to a waste, and thus let a good capable individual take over... regardless, he's now the owner and has promissed to get me files if need be for the forum which i'm still admin at for the work (summer and thus can test out some before i buy the new licenses for clients) ;)... hope that lot made sense... if not then just ignore :D... bottom line, i depend on da foo I sold to, and recently I'ven't been able to get hold of him a lot, so gotta wait till I see him to get files from vbulletin.org :(
