vB2 - vB3 Sidepanel Problems
For some reason my Side Menu looks very weird, heres whats wrong with it.
1. The Sidemenu is Squished against the corner 2. The Colors (But I Guess I could go back and edit the colors manually) How would I fix the Sidemenu Issue? Screenshot :: HERE Whats weird is that I installed it on my testboard, and it looked fine, but when I transfered it to my main board (which is closed right now due to relaunch) it looked as pictured above in the screenshot. Any Ideas what might be wrong? |
I should mention the Modification is available at the following URL::

Need to view the source code of your page. If you've applied the mod as instructed, without errors, then it must be something to do with the table widths you have already specified for your $forumbits. Have you applied a 3rd party style or hard coded widths into your tables? |
Code:
$stylevar[htmldoctype] |
I think the colours are screwy because the <td>'s are using variables that don't exist as background colours. For example, {tableheadbgcolor} is now class="thead". I think...
As for the width problem: I guess an easy solution would be to put the space.gif image in the side menu and specify a width in pixels. |
Hmm I never thought about the Spacer, ill try it out, but Idealy i would like to make it as it should be.

That code is properly applied and formats properly. The problem is not in your forumhome template or how you've applied the mod. There is some code somewhere else that is causing the problem, maybe in your header?
|
That cant be it Martyn, because the only templates I have edited are FORUMHOME and postbit_getinfo and furthermore FORUMHOME modified before postbit_getinfo and the sidepanel was giving me the same problem since before then.

well, I overwrote your forumhome template onto my test site and the only time the table looks like yours, is when the browser window is squashed down to about 600 pixels wide.
See attachment..... |
that cant be it, becausei took the SS while Maximized and my Resolution is big.
I just changed my Width to 100%.... and it looked fine, but when I changed it to90% it looked weird again, and also when I change it into pixels it looks weird, how do I go about making it so that it works either way? |
